Junior Inter Zone 7-A-sides championships

Individual scores have not been maintained for all events but our teams have played well  winning the gold medal twice in 2012 and 2013.

2016 – Overall 5th – fours won the silver medal.

Despite the loss of some experienced players – a good result especially for the fours who lost the final to zone 4 by one shot.

Team comprised: Singles – Alex Pyke (Park Beach), Pairs – Joseph Clarke (Sawtell) & Cody Griffin (Kempsey Heights), Fours -Josh Carney (Wauchope), Lachlan Cooper (Kempsey Macleay RSL), Brendon Clarke (Sawtell) and Ben Wynter (Kempsey Heights).

Fours – wins – 15 – 12 (zone 4), 15 – 11 (zone 8) and 13 – 10 (zone 10).  Semi: 17 – 13 (zone 15) and final 13 – 14 (zone 4).

Pairs – 29 – 8 (zone 4), 18 – 8 (zone 8) to see them joint leaders with Zone 10.  15 – 18 (zone 10).  Semi – 15 – 20 (zone 16) and lost sectional playoff by 1 shot to zone 7 to finish 8th.

Singles – 4 shot win (zone 4), 3 shot loss (zone 8), loss 14 – 25 (zone 10).  Semi – 25 – 21 (zone 15), 25 – 24 (zone 3) coming in 9th in the singles.

2015 – Tied for 2nd but lost on count back to Zone 2.  Silver medal in singles and bronze in pairs – both defeated overall winners.

2013 – To prove 2012 wasn’t a fluke – Gold medal winners again.
