Pennant – Zone playoffs
The Zone pennant playoffs were held today (Saturday 25th May) – congratulations to the winning clubs and for the runners up who may be disappointed – remember you made it to the finals!! Thanks to the host clubs – South West Rocks, Kempsey Macleay RSL and Stuarts Point – and all their volunteers for helping.
Grade 2
Kempsey Macleay RSL
In a hard fought match Kempsey Macleay RSL took on North Haven winning the grade 2 pennant 62 to 51. With one rink tied and North Haven winning a rink by 5 shots it was up to the experienced Rocky Stone to steer the side home.

Nambucca Heads
In a tight tussle Nambucca Heads defeated Westport by just 2 shots – 59 to 57 to take out the grade 3 pennant.

South West Rocks
South West Rocks won the grade 4 pennant against North Beach 66 to 48. However it wasn’t as easy as the scores indicate with North Beach winning a rink by 2 shots and South West Rocks a rink by 1 shot – it was the 3rd rink with a 19 shot win that secured the victory for the Rocks.

Macksville
Another tight final Macksville won all 3 rinks to take the grade 5 pennant against South West Rocks 64 – 56.

Grade 6
Kempsey Macleay RSL
With 1 rink apiece with the same scores – this match also came down to the 3rd rink with Kempsey Macleay RSL eventually winning by 2 shots – and therefore the overall 56 – 54. This makes it 2 flags for Kempsey Macleay RSL this year.
Urunga
Grade 7 to be contested as a 3 game playoff between Macksville, Port City & Westport.
Round 1 – Westport defeated Port City 9/1 65 – 55
Round 2 – Port City defeated Macksville 9.5/0.5 60 -58
Westport and Port City both have one win however the competition for the grade 7 pennant is still alive. Macksville needs to win 10/0. Westport needs to score at least 2 points. Port City can still win depending on results.
